Page 6:  Who and Why?

On the one-year anniversary of his wife’s death, Linda’s husband holds a press conference where he admits his previous marital problems, but denies involvement in his wife’s death.  Click to watch

According to February 12, 2001 Fresno Bee and San Francisco Chronicle news articles, Mark speculated at his press conference that his wife’s selenium poisoning was due to diet pills or an herbal drink.

But scientific inquiry determines that Linda would have had to consume more than 1,390 of the large 200 microgram selenium supplement pills – making it impossible for Linda to have accidentally ingested too much selenium.

A toxicologist states:

“a concentrated selenium solution would require only one or two drops to cause death.  This could easily be concealed in a food or beverage as most selenite and selenate species are water-soluble.  Coffee’s somewhat bitter taste provides an excellent medium to cover foreign substances, such as selenium.”

Speculation that Linda may have taken “diet pills” that caused her death is disproven by the Coroner’s All Scan toxicology test, which screened for 1,500 over the counter and prescription medications.  The All Scan toxicology test was negative for all over the counter and prescription medications.

Describing Linda's husband at the press conference, the Fresno Bee wrote, “The first question was enough to rock him.”  The Bee article continued, “both sides agree that Linda was a vibrant soccer mom who had a lovely Clovis home but a rocky marriage when she died at age 37.”

Mr. Paboojian declares, “Mark is not sophisticated enough to poison his wife.”  He elaborates, “the [marital] problems weren’t that bad.”

But Mr. Paboojian was well aware of the problems between his client and Linda.  Two months before her death, Linda told her family that she went to Mr. Paboojian, who was the best man in her wedding, and pleaded with him to intervene.  Mr. Paboojian agreed to talk with Mark about the deteriorating marriage and Linda’s concerns.  Linda said that after Mr. Paboojian talked with Mark, he told her that he had never seen such rage.  Linda said that Mr. Paboojian told her to leave the marriage.

Mr. Paboojian showed-up at the hospital prior to Linda’s death.  After she died, he falsely signed a release form as Linda’s brother-in-law so he could get the hospital to release Linda’s purse and belongings to him.  Later, he removed all of Linda’s medications from her house.  In the days following Linda’s death, Mr. Paboojian admits he told Linda to leave the marriage just three weeks before.
